MARCO MÄKINEN

  • Marco Mäkinen is the Executive Vice President of Strategy at TBWA\Helsinki, Finland. TBWA\Helsinki is best known for its innovation and smart use of PR and earned media. The agency has won several Cannes Lions, Effies and Agency of the Year awards.
  • He is a passionate advocate for driving change, always looking for new ways and methods of working and transforming the creative industry. He is the author of the books Brand to the Boardroom, When Corporationand Startups meet, From Bulk to Brand and Nokia Saga.
  • Before re-joining TBWA in 2012, he founded the first major digital agency in Finland, helped hundreds of startups grow internationally and spearheaded the change of the leading agency in Finland from atraditional ad agency into an industry frontrunner.

 

PETE JENKINS

  • Pete Jenkins is an international authority on gamification, a lifelong gamer, successful entrepreneur and a lecturer. As CEO of Gamification+ Ltd he mentors and trains companies world-wide on the use of gamification to solve business challenges.
  • Pete is Chair of Gamification Europe, the annual conference for Gamification practitioners. The most recent conference was in December 2019 in Berlin. He also founded the Gamification Awards. The Gamification Awards are global awards for the gamification industry. ​​
  • Pete is an Honorary Ambassador for GamFed (International Gamification Confederation), having previously been the Chair from 2014 to February 2019, whose aim is to spread best practices within and support the gamification industry.
  • Pete is in his 11th year as a Lecturer at the University of Brighton. He lectures on gamification and entrepreneurship at undergraduate and post-graduate levels.

HALUK LEVENT

RUDY DE WAELE

  • Rudy de Waele is a conscious business & life design strategist, futurist, humanist, keynote speaker, content curator and author. He assists global brands, startups and organizations with cutting-edge open innovation strategy, using new methodologies to transform business.
  • Rudy is well-known as a thought leader in the Mobile 2.0 movement, and the author of “Shift 2020 – How Technology Will Impact Our Future”. He is an associate of The Futures Agency, a member of the IoT Council, and a Strategic Advisor to Smart Cities World. He is also an active co-founder of HumanWorks, Conscious Learning Tribe and Children First World.

MICHAEL SCHRAGE

  • Aresearch fellow with MIT Sloan School’s Initiative on the Digital Economy, Michael Schrage’s research, writing and advisory work focuses on the ‘behavioral economics’ of models, prototypes and metrics as strategic resources for managing ‘innovation risk’ and opportunity.
  • He is author of award-winning ’The Innovator’s Hypothesis’ ,‘Who Do You Want YourCustomers To Become?’ and  ‘Serious Play’.
  • He’s run design workshops and executive education programs on innovation, experimentation and’strategic measument’ for organizations all over the world.
  • He’s pioneering work in ‘selvesware’ technologies – he coined the word – designed to augment aspects, attributes and talents of productive individuals.

JAMIN HEGEMAN

  • Jamin Hegeman is Head of Experience Strategy at Capital One, where he leads design teams across multiple business units to support end-to-end service experiences and transform business operations to be more customer and design centric.
  • He supports and mentors designers to develop their craft, while helping businesses articulate service strategy and define experiences that benefit customers, employees, and the business.
  • As VP of Service Design Network, he has helped the Service Design Network grow and influence thousands of designers and business leaders around the world.

FRANCESCA BRIA

  • Francesca Bria is leading the DECODE project on data sovereignty in Europe. She is a Senior Adviser to the United Nation on digital cities and digital rights, and she is Assistant Professor in the Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose at UCL in London.
  • She is an adviser for the European Commission on Future Internet and Innovation Policy, and she is the former Chief Digital Technology and Innovation for the City of Barcelona in Spain.
  • Francesca has led the EU D-CENT project, the biggest European Project on digital democracy and digital currencies. She also led the DSI project on Digital Social Innovation in Europe, advising the EU on digital social innovation policies.
  • She has been listed in the Top 50 Women in Tech by the Forbes Magazine, and in the World’s top 20 most influential people in digital government by Apolitical.
